Ken Boone is an information systems specialist with the telecommunications group at Lord Corp. Since 1963, Ken has been building amateur robots; his fire-fighting robots placed 8th and 13th, respectively, in the last two Trinity College contests. He has been teaching robotics to gifted students for 20 years. Information about his robots can be found at www.kensrobots.com. He earned a B.S. in Industrial Arts Education at North Carolina State University. He holds a control theory patent.
