Peter Hiscocks is a professor emeritus in electrical engineering at Ryerson University in Toronto, where he taught courses in analog, digital, and microprocessor systems design. His academic papers are posted at www.ee.ryerson.ca/~phiscock. Peter is a principal in Syscomp Electronic Design, which originated the Open Instrumentation Project. His interests include astronomy and the history of science. In his spare time, he competes with Toronto traffic on a bicycle.
